our job is translating ideas into great designs.
Atelier Maldonado is a design studio based in Lisbon, Portugal.
We collaborate with clients to develop visual identities and communicate their distinct stories in a way that is fresh and thought-provoking. The result is a brand that is unique, authentic and consistent. We’re inspired by the good old days and we aim to bring joy to those who come across our work.

Inês Maldonado
OWNER/DESIGNER
Inês graduated in Visual Design from IADE and studied UX/UI at Edit. She headed south to study art direction in Rio de Janeiro and endured London's weather while experimenting with illustration, screen printing, letterpress and custom made stationery before moving back to Lisbon.
After a few years working for advertising agencies and architecture studios, she decided to venture solo and later she co-founded the independent collective SR/SRA .
Currently, with Atelier Maldonado she collaborates with other professionals to develop projects in the most diverse aspects of communication design, content creation, art direction and web design, with a special focus on branding for the hospitality industries. A striking feature of her work is the transposition of manual arts and graphic references from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries to contemporary technology and aesthetics.
